The following agenda was discussed by the Board and attending members:

Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated! Survey results drove much of the discussion across all agenda items.

Open Board Positions

These changes are also detailed in the Board of Directors Update (P.1).  The suggestions made by members in the survey focused the conversation on how best to organize the leadership structure of the club.

as well as to reach out and seek volunteer assistance from the membership when necessary.

Events for 2008

Once again, the survey results were informative and useful.  The meeting group decided to add a May event, which will be hosted by Bill Pratt at the House of Wheels, his new business in Auburn, MA.  This will be a predominantly social event including:

• a club-provided BBQ (menu TBD)
• a clinic on Cougar detailing
• a cruise to the Quabbin Reservoir.

Sunday parking in the area is trailer-friendly.

A number of the members present at the meeting expressed plans to attend the Mid-Atlantic Prowl organized by the DelMarVa and NJ/PA Cougar Clubs at the All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA in June.

We will sponsor the Cougar class at the Mustang Club of NH annual Fathers Day show, also in June.

CCNE will continue to piggy-back on the Connecticut Cougar Club Annual Lincoln-Mercury/Edsel/Ford show at Mustangs Unlimited in Manchester, CT on July 20 ^th.

There is no event scheduled for either August or September, but the group did discuss some possibilities:

• Joining with the New England T-Bird club for an event (not likely as of May 08)
• Attending Fun Ford Weekend at Epping Dragway
• Piggy-backing on the MCCNE show in Rhode Island
• Staging our own event combining a meeting at Dave Allen’s Ford/Lincoln-Mercury dealership followed by a run over to Pete and Marilyn Savage’s muscle car museum

Various group members took action items to follow up on the above options to determine which ones are viable.  Please feel free to let us know which ones you’d most like to see happen.

Membership Renewals

Membership renewals are due May 1, 2008.  Reminder notices will be sent out in early April.

Club Budget

Club finances are in a healthy state with just over $800.00 in the bank.  Consequently, the meeting decided to allocate the following funds:

• $150.00 to provide food and beverages for the May event at House of Wheels
• $100.00 to fund Cougar class trophies at the Father’s Day show in Nashua
• $175.00 to purchase a tent to be used at club events

Website Ideas

This is an area where we need club member content and input.  We are thinking of adding a blog section to the site, allowing members to comment on any Cougar experiences we’ve had.
