I’d like to start this column by thanking Dan Houde, who recently stepped down as the founding chairman of the Cougar Club of New England, for his contributions to the Club over the past several years. Among other things not readily visible to the membership, Dan designed the look and feel of the Club website, membership welcome packets, and put in many hours to help get the club launched. 

His most signature achievement, however, is the October event at Bobby’s Girl Diner in New Hampshire. Each year since the inception of the club, this event has drawn the most members and received the most praise of any of our Club events. This event will unquestionably continue with Dan’s assistance and remains a special event on our annual calendar.
